RZD has opened sale of tickets for "Sapsan"

OAO "Russia's railways" (RZD) has opened sale of tickets for a high-speed trains "Sapsan" in the service of Moscow – St.-Petersburg. As noted by the Russia's Railways, trains will start to ply since December, 18th, 2009. The first passage simultaneously two trains at 6:45 will go: from Moscow and from St.-Petersburg. Time in a way will make of 3 hours 45 minutes.

The schedule for a "Sapsan" train :

N 151 St.-Petersburg – Moscow, departure at 6:45, arrival at 10:30. The train will daily ply, except January, 1st, 2010, without stops, time in a way 3 ч. 45 minutes;

N 152 Moscow – St.-Petersburg, departure at 6:45, arrival at 10:30. The train will daily ply, except January, 1st, 2010, without stops, time in a way 3 ч. 45 minutes;

N 155 St.-Petersburg – Moscow, departure at 13:00, arrival at 17:15 the Train will daily ply, with the following stops: Okulovka 14:31–14:32, Bologoe 14:58–14:59, Vyshny Volochek 15:19–15:20, Tver 16:03–16:04. Time in a way 4 ч. 15 minutes;

N 156 Moscow – St.-Petersburg, departure at 13:00, arrival at 17:15 the Train will daily ply, with the following stops: Tver 14:04–14:06, Vyshny Volochek 14:49–14:50, Bologoe 15:11–15:12, Okulovka 15:42–15:43. Time in a way 4 ч. 15 minutes;

N 157 St.-Petersburg – Moscow, departure at 19:00, arrival at 22:45. The train will daily ply, except December, 31st, 2009 and on January, 1st, 2010, without stops, time in a way 3 ч 45 minutes;

N 158 Moscow – St.-Petersburg, departure at 19:00, arrival at 22:45. The train will daily ply, except December, 31st, 2009 and on January, 1st, 2010, without stops, time in a way 3 ч 45 minutes.

There are the ten carriagesin the train, including two carriages of the first class and the eight carriages of the second class. The base fare makes: in cars of first class – 5300 roubles, second classes – 3300, 2 roubles. To tariffs for the travel in the "Sapsan" trains applies the individual index of seasonal regulation and the indexation factor, varying depending on the day of the week and time of departure of the train. Schedule flexible tariff regulation is not applied.
In the first week of plying, from December, 18 till December, 25th, 2009, on journey to travel on trains "Sapsan" will operate an additional discount of 10%.

In a first-class carriages the ticket price includes hot meals (with a choice of dishes passenger), the provision of printed materials, Internet service, travel kits (ear plugs, eye mask, slippers), and a children's sets.

Passengers of the second class carriages can order a delivery of hot dishes from the bistro-carriage for an additional payment, use an Internet network, call a taxi, and also look and listen to video- and audio programs.

Besides, along the "Sapsan" route passengers can get a tickets for the other trains.

The Russia's Railway Press-service notices that at the "Sapsan" trains the electronic registration of passengers is applied.

"Sapsan"(Peregrine Falcon) – a high-speed electric train of Velaro RUS series, produced by the company of "Siemens Transport Systems", capable to develop the maximum speed of 250 km/h. The contract on delivery of 8 trains of Velaro RUS series has been signed between the RZD and the Department of Transportation Systems, Siemens AG in May 2006. Contract value - 276 million euros.
