There's a three new subway stations on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line – "Mjakinino", "Volokolamskaya" and "Mitino" have been opened in Moscow On December, 26th. Thus, the quantity of stations in the capital underground has increased to 180. Mitino's segment(6,3 km) of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line commissioning will allow to solve in the extent a question of transport service of Mitino district almost completely. Besides, the northwest segment of the most loaded line of the Moscow subway – Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, which have been compelled to use Mitino's habitants, will considerably unload.
As the mayor of Moscow, Jury Luzhkov, has noted at the ceremony of stations opening, "Mitino's habitants now will not feel the isolation from a city, from a city infrastructure". "This segment of metropolitan line became one of the most safe in the capital subway, thanks to new technology of a lining of ways", - Luzhkov has noted.

City authorities promised to open the subway in this area in 1995. Building of stations has begun in the early nineties, but because of financial problems, building has been frozen, and terms of its renewal, and also opening of stations, was repeatedly postponed.

"Volokolamskaya" and "Mitino" stations are located in one of the most occupied and kept away from the centre of Moscow area, and the station of "Myakinino" is built in territory of Krasnogorsk area of Moscow Region. It became the first station of the Moscow underground in the territory of Moscow Region .
The constructive decision of station has allowed to integrate it into the being under construction parking of "Crocus-city"centre, for convenience of visitors to this major trading-exposition centre. While for passengers is opened only one of two exits to a city, and at the station still it is possible to observe a heap of unfinished works. The new station completely will solve a transport problem of an entrance of visitors and participants in one of the largest exposition centres in Europe, where also recently has been opened the most advanced concert hall in Russia.

On a stage from station " Myakinino" to "Volokolamskaya" passengers will pass a part of the way upon opened metro bridge through the Moskva River. For normal temperature-moisture mode maintenance at "Volokolamsk" and "Mjakinino"station and protection of railway against an atmospheric precipitation the new bridge was decided to make covered.
Directly behind station "Mjakinino" begins the overpass' part of metro bridge, further the bridge crosses the Moskva River and on high right coast passes in the closed site of a line.
Metro station "Volokolamskaya" will surprise passengers by the high – more than 8 metres – vaults, which, in a combination to easy arcades, gives a sensation of vastness and an openness. Two lobbies of station are located in a park zone in 1st microdistrict of Mitino on NovoTushinsky projezd st.
The increased step of columns and arch height in a combination with tri-arched design, gives to an image of "Volokolamskaya" station a sensation of vastness and an openness.
Terminal station "Mitino" is built in the centre of the area with the same name, at the crossing of Mitinskaya and Dubravnaya streets. Station " Mitino" design is the one-vaulted shallow founded. The platform width and height are standard – 10 metres and 162 metres accordingly, arch height makes 6 metres. The surface of light niches is broken into small caissons, which, shined with sliding light, create a play of light and shades on the vault. Earlier it was planned to open station only in 2012, however later it has been decided to open it together with "Volokolamskaya".

In connection with opening of new stations, bus routes in Mitino will be changed since December, 27th. To the new station "Mitino", in particular, will be redirected the route of bus №400K from "a new part" of Zelenograd, that will facilitate a way to the nearest subway station of inhabitants of Zelenograd administrative district of capital.
In the future in area Mitino it is planned to construct one more station – "Pjatnitskaya" (roughly in 2012) and new electrodepot.
