The Central suburban passenger company, which is the carrier of the Moscow Railways’ passengers, reduces the cost of a month subscription tickets since May, 15 2011. Reduction is for passengers traveling over 53 km on Kazan, Kursk, Riga, Kiev, Pawelec, Belarus and Savelovo directions. For this category of passengers there is a fixed cost of the one-month “Everyday” subscription – 3,500 rubles.

The experiment of selling a month subscription tickets for long distance with reduced cost began on February, 15 on the Yaroslavl direction and April, 1 it was spread on the Gorkiy direction.
The results appeared positive: quantity of sold tickets increases for 4 times in average compared with the same period of 2010, takings – for 3 times, the cost of travel in suburban trains hasn’t increase this year. In summary of three months it was decided to involve into experiment the rest directions of the Moscow Railways.
