Everyone will be able to be legal taxi-driver in Moscow in case he will register as individual industrialist, legalize car according to corresponding color scheme and conform to appointed rules, as Nicolay Lyamov, mayor’s duty of transport development and road building, informed journalists on Friday.
Executive director of the Moscow transport union Yuriy Sveshnikov added that imperative demand for getting permission is presence of taximeter, orange lantern on roof, confirmed driver experience of five years and technical condition of car.
According to the executive director’s data, at the moment there are approximately 40 thousand illegal taxis in the city. And the number of legal ones is 9 thousand.
Moreover, he reported that according to invected law amendments, the fine for taxi service without permission will be 5 thousand rubles.
“Drivers will be fined for taxi attributes absence, not given sales check, also absence of permission”, - Sveshnikov added.
He also reminded that since 2015 all federation subjects will be able to limit the maximum quantity of given permissions but not less than originally.
As Lyamov says, there won’t be any quotas of legal taxis’ permit to capital market as the rates won’t be regulated by city government. “We understand that transfer to civilized market must be smooth and not difficult for drivers”, - mayor’s duty emphasized.
“We ask everyone who provides taxi service to legalize and get everything that legal drivers get”, - Lyamov said.
He reported that permissions for including to the List of legal taxis, which will be one with Moscow Region, city government will start to give since September, 1 2011.
Lyamov added that permission will be for five years and every permission will may include electronic chip for protecting from falsification.
“All legal taxis in city will get permit to Moscow railway stations but meanwhile there won’t be permission for driving on detailed lines for public transport”, - mayor’s duty said.
